Puddings

Pudding are most commonly associated with rich, sweet desserts but they can also be of savoury nature. In the United States, it may be referred to as a sweet milk based dessert similar in texture to that of a baked custard or it may also be a type of bread or rice dessert. The word is believed to have originated from the French word 'Boudin' meaning small sausages as they were originally made encased meat in Medieval European.
     Often associated with tart but minus the outer crust, this dessert is easily prepared and is available in both baked and unbaked version. Many countries would have their own specialty with local ingredients incorporated to better suit their local taste. Almost any ingredients can be used to produce a tasty feast. Here I have prepared a list of pudding recipe which is easy to prepare. 
     Traditionally, they are prepared by mixing all ingredients together and binding them with a binding agent such as flour, starch, egg or even fat which will produce a solid end product. Almost always steamed or baked in an oven, sometimes you may come across a boiled type as well. Nonetheless it is always an enjoyment to savour a perfectly cooked portion of this culinary delight and I hope you will have much fun trying out the pudding recipe listed here. Besides, preparing it always seems to transport me back in time when choices were more limited and a simple jello never fails to brings a smile to my face.
