Butter Cookies

Butter cookies... the all time favourite among countless choices of cookies throughout all generations. Easy and quick to prepare but also fast to deplete in the cookie jar. Butter cookies is a type of unleavened cookie made with the prinme ingredients of just butter, sugar and flour with or without the addition of eggs. It is categorise under crisp cookies for its texture. Best eaten plain or with the addititon of flavourings such as chocolate, vanilla, coconut in fact it would go well with almost anything you may add in it.

Recipe
250 gm Unsalted Butter
120 gm Icing Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
1 nos Egg
340 gm Soft Flour


Method
1) Beat (Cream) butter and icing sugar together in a mixing bowl till smooth. Be careful not to overbeat till fluffy.
2) Add in vanilla essence halfway through beating.
3) Once batter is smooth, add in egg. If making more than 1 recipe, be sure to add in eggs slowly one by one.
4) LAst of all, add in flour and proceed to mix till smooth and well mixed.
5) Scoop batter into a pipingbag using a star nozzle and pipe cookies unto a baking tray as shown in video.
6) Bake in oven at 180C (356F) for 10 to 15 minutes till golden brown. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Recipe makes about 60 cookies.
